A permanent opportunity has become available in our planning team for a Merchandise Planner. If you’re passionate about product and have sound planning experience then this is the position for you.

As a Merchandise Planner, your responsibilities will be:
Influencing and implementing the brand’s merchandise strategy

Financial and strategic management of product planning, controlling open-to-buy, reviewing weekly & monthly figures

Management of the range assortments and replenishment

Management and implementation of the location strategy e.g. analysing stores profiles & sales trends, developing promotional & range distribution by store & cluster

Ensure product plan meet location plan targets and correct stock allocations meet sales targets

Ensure agreed KPI’s are met i.e. sales, stock flow, markdowns & margins

To monitor in season trade and react accordingly

OTB management to ensure product opportunities are capitalized on

Responsible for allocations

Communication with stores and field

Regular store visits

To apply you need to have:
Proven working experience as a Planner 3-5 years at least.

3 Year Tertiary institution relevant business diploma or degree

A high degree of numeracy and an analytical, detailed and strategic approach to work

Computer literacy in word, excel and planning systems

Strong business acumen and merchant thinking

Good organisational and interpersonal skills

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Proven decision-making ability

Strong affiliation to systems and utilising them to increase productivity in line with the merchandise strategy

Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
